Ever wished you were better at feminism?
Ever felt like you should be better at feminism?
Join comedian Deborah Frances-White and guests.
Each episode Deborah and her guests discuss topics "all 21st century feminists agree on" while confessing their insecurities, hypocrisies and fears that underlie their lofty principles. The podcast has been a huge success with over 4,500,000 downloads since it started at the end of last year.
On this show, Deborah discusses Minefields, topics that scare us, and Feminism and Faith with Reubs J Walsh and Rev Kate Harford.
Reubs J Walsh studies social cognition in adolescents, and the biological correlates of this developmental process at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. As well as research on the intersection between transgender identities and social development, Reubs has been heavily involved in a range of trans* and LGBT+ advocacy projects in the UK and internationally, working with the NUS, GIRES, UNAIDS, and UK government organisations like the NHS and the Civil Service. Reubs is also increasingly visible as a populariser of science, particularly in a feminist context.
Rev. Kate Harford is a priest of the Metropolitan Community Churches and a university chaplain. She studied archaeology, classics, and classical art at UCL in London and theology at the University of Oxford and was ordained in November 2015. Kate has a particular interest in queer theology and lived experience of mental health issues. She enjoys knitting and disrupting cis-hetero-patriarchal systems.
